- Harned, Bachert & Denton has sponsored a poetry contest among high school students, in conjunction with WKYU Public Radio, for the last 9 years.
- Harned, Bachert & Denton has offered the community, in conjunction with WKYU Public Radio, a free living will event for the last three years. At this event, anyone can have a free living will prepared.

- Harned, Bachert & Denton has been a member of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce since 1988.
- Harned, Bachert & Denton had teams in the American Cancer Society Relay for life in 2005 and 2006.
- Harned, Bachert & Denton is an annual sponsor of the BB&T Classic for Western Kentucky University basketball.
- Harned, Bachert & Denton annually supports Kids on the Block by adopting 11 year-old puppet Brenda Dubrowski, who helps children cope with divorce.
- Scott A. Bachert, Joy D. Denton and Stephanie L. McGehee-Shacklette are all graduates of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Bowling Green Program.

- Joy Denton participated in the Breast Cancer 3 Day, a 60 mile walk in Atlanta, Georgia. The walk benefits the Susan G. Komen for the cure.
- HBD partnered with Western Kentucky Diagnostic Imaging to provide discounted mammograms for breast cancer awareness month.
